Flu Vaccinations will be arriving at Birregurra Medical Centre in the coming days. Please contact one of our friendly reception team to register your interest and get booked into an available clinic.
The influenza vaccines are free under the National Immunisation Program for:
- Anyone aged 65 years or over
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over
- All children aged 6 months to under 5 years
- Pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy
- Others aged 6 months or over who have medical conditions that mean they have a higher risk of getting seriously unwell with influenza. This group includes people with heart conditions, immune compromise and/or chronic respiratory conditions such as asthma or COPD.
Anyone not meeting the free vaccine criteria can arrange a private script with their doctor. Please call reception to discuss this option.
